doubt about a function to obtain network card address

    Good afternoon

On the website there are an example of a function to capture the network card address.

From what I know, the generated value shows, for example, "02-00-54-B5-4E-01".
    My doubts.
    Are there always letters?
Are these all letters from our alphabet, including possible special characters?
Or just another letter, if so what would they be?
Will the answer always be 6 sets as per this example?

    Thanks

This is a MAC address. The address is in hexadecimal (base 16) and letters A thru F do represent numbers in base 16. Yes, always 6 parts as in example.

Based on this I would say
    - not necessarily
    - no
    - A to F
    - yes

Mark thread "Solved" with Thread Tools dropdown above first post. Done.
