    Sharing a database

I am teaching myself MS Access and I can make the databases work and that is fine. The issue comes when I try to add it to the network for users to use it and it doesn't allow them.

It says all Active Content is Blocked and it will open the Login page but it will not function.

I added the location as a trusted location.

I made sure the location has full access for users.

I do not use Macros but I did check off ENABLE ALL MACROS just to test it.

Nothing worked. I am the Administrator and the copy I made on a network drive opens and runs fine, but on the drive location for the users to use, that copy will not run even for me.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Are you allowing locations on the network to be trusted on each user's computer? Not normally recommended.
Normally the FE should be run from the user's workstation, not the network.

Do users have read/write permissions to the network folder?

Just out of interest, has the MOTW been applied? If so, unblock the files

set Trust center settings where the back end will be. (or any access app)

    File,
    options,
    trust center, (left pane)
trust center settings btn, (right pane)
    Trusted Locations,(left pane)

    (bottom)
always 1st: check ALLOW TRUSTED LOCATIONS ON MY NETWORK
    click ADD NEW LOCATION btn
    add folder and check subfolders

    Macro Settings,(left pane)
    Enable all macros

    OK all the way out
