    Question Can't see my data

I am running Access 2003 on Windows 10. I have been using this DB since 2003. All data was viewable up until yesterday. Today, when I opened any DB I get a blank screen, in the Access frame. All my VB6 programs that access these DBs, continue to work with the correct data from the tables.

Can anyone help me to see the data?

    Thanks

Upload the DB?, compacted and zipped if too large.
You have not given much to work with, if you have not changed anything, anywhere?

The only other thing I can think of is that there is no data for the form (though this is normally with a subform) and so no controls are shown. Long shot though.

This happens with every Access DB I have. I'll look for a small one.

Not sure if you can use runtime mode with mdb’s but if you can that might be the reason

at least upload a screen shot of your access window

Oh, I though you meant a form.
Plus if it happens to others DB's then look for windows updates. You will have not had any office updates for 2003.

    Try on another computer?

I have tried another computer. It opens correctly.

The DB I noticed it on has code behind the windows. It also has a start up procedure when the computer is turned on (the first time it is turned on each day. That worked correctly. It only shows a form with some data on it for the day.

Maybe..... I don't know much about Access security and startup. Could i have hit a switch, yesterday, that gives this action now?

    OK. I just learned something.
When I open any DB, if I click on the 'File' tab, it shows the last 4 DBs I opened. When I click on any one of them, that DB opens correctly. But, I never went that route before. I have always opened a DB directly.

Sounds like you have changed some setting in the Access?

I agree, but I don't know what! I learned, over 25 yrs ago, never change security settings for Access. Unlike Word, or Excel, One change in Access, can change ALL your mdbs

OK. PROBLEM SOLVED. It had nothing to do with Access. I was also having problems, this morning, with McAfee. It would not show up in the Notification area. When that was fixed, ALL my Access DBs were fixed.

    Thanks to all.
