    No, you need to do that. How else are you going to learn and make it stick?
    You seem keen enough not to do it the Access way.
    The other way to do it your way is to use unbound forms and you handle the data back and forth.

    You have not even said which form it is in all those forms in the DB.

    My Access is too old anyway, it tells me I need a later version.
