    Replacing Open Twebst Code

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

I have code in my Access 2007 application that was written with the help of the Open Twebst library that opens certain webpages, logs in and then navigates to a subsequent page. This code has been rendered obsolete due to Microsoft sunsetting Internet Explorer.

Can anyone give me the simplest way to recreate this code in Access 2019. (I am in the process of upgrading from 2007 to 2019.)

    Thank you!

What research have you done? Here is one discussion https://www.mrexcel.com/board/thread...-edge.1135408/

Seems an Edge Browser control has been introduced https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/of...browsercontrol.

For what it's worth here is a link to a presentation by a Microsoft Access user group about the EdgeBrowser Control. It may give your some insight into differences with IE and/or how to achieve some things using Edge.

Here is a link to Daniel Pineault's youtube video on Edge that may help with any conversion of IE to Edge.

Do you know if Open Twebst library can work with Edge???

June7, thank you for your response. I have researched a bit. Everything that I have found on the internet seems to be for Excel. I have tried several of the examples but always run into issues. For example, the mrexcel example that you referenced generates an error that it want version 114 of Edge. Version 113.0.1774.57 appears to be the current Edge build in distribution. Likewise, I tried to get it to open Chrome and it also generates an error.

I was hoping to find someone who has replaced the Open Twebst library and what they went with for an Access application (not excel). What I need to do isn't particularly complicated but so far, I am not getting very far.

    Orange,

Thank you for the response. Open Twebst is really old now. The most recent update that I have found is from 2014. So it worked great with IE but not with Edge. I have tried Edge in IE mode but I get really random results. I'll check out the Youtube link you suggested.

Are you going to use a browser inside Access or outside Access?
Are you going to use IE or Edge?
