Timesheet Query (Finding Reg Vs. Overtime Hours)

Ok. So I have a little dilemma.

Users are inputting there time in a form in the following way:

    • Project
    • Category (Not Relevant)
    • Start Time
    • End Time

They can have many entries per day.

    For example:

    John Smith [Today's Timesheet]
    [Project 1] [Cleaning] [7:00 AM] [10:00 AM]
    [Project 1] [Labour ] [10:00 AM] [5:00 PM ]
    [Project 2] [Cleaning] [5:00 PM] [8:00 PM]

What I need to figure out in a query is the overtime and regular hours per project. So Project 1 would have 2 OT hours and Project 2 would have 3 OT hours.

you will want to set up calculated fields in your query and get to know the IIF method. also you will want to get to know adding/subtracting times....

obviously the db doesn't know what is overtime - so you need a field with that timepoint as well - or it can be hardcoded into your query....

doable - but somewhat tricky. more complicated if overtime is a different point for different people.
