How can I create a query in Microsoft Access to list customers who ordered video 1 in a series but not video 2 or 3? The customer name appears (sometimes mutiple times) for each order in one column and the product ordered in another.

For starters, how do you identify the 'first' in a series?
Provide sample data as tables in post or attach database (follow instructions at bottom of my post).
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
What exactly are the tables and fields in your database?
Product is a video with the name of series and the video volume number?
What have you tried? What result?
If your product table has a BOM structure, you can create a query to see if someone has ordered the complete product or not. IMO without a BOM structure it is hard or impossible to do. You should have at least the following tables:
- Products (BOM)
- Customers
- Orders
- Orderlines.
