How to make tab stay in current column

I have a form with 11 columns in it and have a few columns where the data has to be manipulated. The person who is adding the data asked if when they hit tab to move to the next record it would stay in that column instead of going to the next field. Is this possible?

Use Enter key? If it still goes to another column, check File > Options > Client Settings > Editing for enter key behaviour. Maybe alter field behaviour settings if desired.
