Methos to Highlight part of a column

I have a datasheet subform and would like to highlight part of a column as a visual indication.
I don't think it's (easily) possible but if you click and hold the mouse over the area, that effect would be fine.
Even bolding the text would be ok too, but that's not possible, is it ?

Don’t think you can highlight part of a column and not clear whether you want a specific column(s) highlighted or just when the user clicks or moves over a column, but look at using the format property for the control or conditional formatting

I also think this is not possible.

You should also ask yourself whether your data structure is correct. If a part of a column has a certain meaning, this could indicate that you are storing compound data. In a good design you only store elementary data.

Just thought is a way to partially highlight a column- use richtext

not prepared to go into how without a much clearer explanation of the requirement

Yes its definitely possible using rich text. For example this is a deliberately over the top rich text datasheet form as a demonstration

Thanks for the replies. Looks like not feasible. Presume even if rich text could be used it would have to be the same for every record?

Why do you say that after seeing Colin's demo?

Okay, think I now understand what you want. You want text to highlight when mouse moves over control similar to how a button color changes when mouse moves over a button? Think I've seen code for that but don't really understand the need.

Setting textbox properties does affect all records unless you use Conditional Formatting. Not sure how that can be of use to you either.

Since you still haven’t clarified what you actually require, we can’t help
