New command buttons seem to have gradient

    Access 2021, Windows 10.
Unless my eyes are playing tricks on me,
a new command button added to a form has a default bluish color that appears to be gradient, lighter on top.
But below are the settings in the properties, and I don't see anything special.
If I use the color picker to choose the very same color from themes, then my eyes don't see the gradient.
Can anyone explain what's going on and how to do the gradient trick with the basic colors for a button?

I think it applies a gradient from the themes, or it's an optical illusion bought about by the shadow and 3d effects?
    Something like

Interesting, my version 2021 Pro doesn't have that. Does yours show some extra data other than the color code in the properties?
I'm curious how that would be set in VBA since I activate most of my buttons when needed (they are grayed out until then and by default in the form design).

Who was saying that Access might not do what you want, but it does it consistently?

P.S. Found it here: CommandButton.Gradient property (Access) | Microsoft Learn
but not sure why it's not showing in the color picker.

Are you saying you don't have the shape fill option?

Confusingly, gradient only appears in the Shape Fill menu on the Format tab.
Other methods of setting the back colour show either one colour palette (fill/back colour selector in context menu) or two (fill/back colour selector on ribbon as in post #4)

Why three different versions is beyond me.

You can make some nice eye candy if you use image controls behind transparent buttons.
