    Recreating a header in access

I'm trying to recreate a header set up for me a number of years ago but neither the person who created it nor I remember/knows how to do it.

Header 1 (attached?) is what I want. Header 2 attached and in line (all blues) is what is there now.

Can someone walk me through the steps.

    Thanks,Click image for larger version.

Not sure which is which or what the problem is. Forum shows blue pic as Header 2, not the red one, but the blue one comes first.
You're showing design view of what you want but are saying you don't know how to create what you want?
If your issue is that when you open the report you see the wrong one, then you must be opening the wrong one if you've created what you need.

Not sure which is which either, but the lower image has sections for last and first name of reader, while the upper does not.

    Thanks for the reply.

    Let me explain:

The one with BY NAME is what I want versus the one with the years in it.

I don't know how to add the additional Last Name and First Name of Reader Header fields to get what I want.

    Thanks,

    NORM

I think I get the drift.
The control that contains BETH AM... must be a textbox. Select that control then in the property sheet set its control source property to be

    ="BETH AM TORAH CLUB " & [First Name of Reader] & " " &[Last Name of Reader]

Having spaces (and special characters, save for underscore) is not good design practice.
EDIT - you can set font, border, special effect and fill properties to make the textbox mimic a label, or show no borders at all.

Consider copying db, compact/repair copy, zip it and post it. See "how to attach files" at the top of the thread if you need help with that.

You can add the sections with the ribbon Group/Sort.

Thank you for doing this, however, I'd like to know HOW it is done.

I still can't figure out HOW you added the LAST/FIRST name Reader Headers.

    Appreciate it the efforts.

Did you see post #9? Try that.
Google "Access Report Group" = Dozens of YouTube videos

Long before I posted this Thread, I checked YOUTUBE and could find NO video which details how you add a LAST NAME HEADER or FIRST NAME HEADER; only generic header instructions.

Even an ACCESS FOR DUMMIES book doesn't tell me HOW you do this.

I guess I just keep searching, or MAYBE someone, some nice person, will post a

    "step-by-step instruction"

    for me.

    Thanks again,

    NORM
