    Initially the template contains code to fetch numbers from our finance system, so that people working with the file can real-time use this data and write explanations if threshold criteria will be triggered.
    The template consists of several sheets (Profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, etc.) and contains macro content for user friendliness:

    In a hidden, not relevant sheet from a user perspective, I gather all that information in a structured manner so that it can easily be imported it into Access using the code in post#1.

    So working with .csv's will as far as I can judge not add real value in our case.

    The solution by inserting a dummy record with a long text comment, which will be erased after the import, will work just fine.
