reports are level-2 objects in the access program and a .doc is a level-1 object in the word program... I seriously doubt it. why not google it to see?

No. A report has a record source, and the fields are controls bound to the record source that must be put into the report when in design view.

To copy Word content - it would need to be placed into a control i.e. label or text box. While this is done all the time in terms of putting boilerplate text into a label control - it isn't viable for textbox or combo box controls.

The text box lets me paste word document into it. However it limits the size of the paste. It will not take a full page. I would like to take a word document and paste it into the text box and then place fields in the selected areas so the reports creating a template for the data to be reported. With 2007 the text box limits the size of the paste and I am wondering if 2010 has the same restrictions.
    Thanks
