the subform must be linked to the key(s) on the master form via subform properties:
link master form field
link child form fieldone the subform is bound to the key, then you can add data.
(and the sub table must be keyed properly)
That means you cannot add a new main form record? If so, can you edit an existing one?why I cannot add any content when using the main form:

Hi Gicu, oddly, testing the data in the SQL backend, I am unable to add any data, so a little confused here. I will create a new table and test again.
Does the table have a PK? When linking ODBC tables into Access if they don't have a primary key defined you are prompted to choose the unique ID for the record;if you don't the table is not editable.
