    Blank Space appearing on Subform

I have created a Subform which is embedded in my main form. I have added all the relevant fields to the subform but when opening via the main form (datasheet view) I am getting a large blank space appearing to the righthand side of the fields. I have tried amending the size of the form and container, taken off the can grow options but still it remains. Has anyone got any other ideas I could try.

A pic of the open forms would help. Can't tell if you're using tabbed or overlapping forms/windows, or if the space is beside the main form datasheet or the subform.

I have tried amending the size of the form and container,
This means you tried but cannot? This looks like the subform is way bigger than it needs to be because you've got horizontal form scroll bars there. If you can't reduce the form width by dragging the right side to the left, then something is stopping you at the right side - likely a control or a line/label/etc. Your form textboxes don't have to be very wide when looking at design view; nor do they have to be side by side - when you're viewing as a datasheet. If that doesn't help, sorry to ask but a design view pic would probably reveal the issue.

Yep I have given this a go but it still wont remove the additional space, I have attached a picture of the design view incase I'm missing anything.

Can you post a copy of the database? We don't need all the data. A few records to show typical data would be sufficient.

After comparing the 2 pics, comment removed.
Maybe there is code doing that? Agree, would be good to see a copy if not due to code. However, there is something strange about the bottom scroll bar - shouldn't be there based on the width of the form background that's visible in design pic.

Is that even the same form?
Pic one has disposed as last field, pic 2 has it as first?

You can drag data sheet columns to any position.

Try moving the Unbound Control and the Find Record Button to the far Left of the Main Form.
Then drag the Right Edge of the Main form to the Left until it touches the Subform.
You can PM me if you need further help.

can grow/shrink properties only apply if the form is printed.

looks to me like you have set the subform control Horizontal Anchor property to both

And I'm guessing you are using tabbed forms rather than overlapping windows
