Is it possible to connect to Gmail from Access

Hi again,

Very general question this time. Our company in it's infinite wisdom has decided to move from Outlook to gmail meaning that all of my automated emails from the database are going to stop working, shucks.



Is it possible to program gmail from access? I'll admit I've only just started googling the subject, a simple yes/no will be fine but if you have any links to resources that would also be appreciated.

Hi Robyn,

Yes, it is, you will need to use the CDO library, you should find lots of examples around. Please note that there are changes coming from Google on this so better do it right from the beginning using a method that will keep working, here is a link on it:
