Exclamation Attachment feature not working on database

Hi! Attachment feature not working on database: On a new database it all works. On my old database, double-clicking the attachment field does nothing (no dialog box appears). If I open a task and try the (Add/Remove attachment) button, nothing. Somehow this database needs to be reset?

    Try Office Repair?
TBH most people recommend NOT to store attachments as it bloats the DB. Store them outside the DB and present a link to each file.

How big is your Back End? Are you nearing the 2 gb limit?

Same as you'd check the size of any file. Right click on it and look at the properties.

Tell us what you have tried.
    Compact and repair?
    Decompile/compile?
Import everything into a new DB?

What happens if you click on the attachment field in your table?

Hi moke123, your interest is really appreciated but I have decided for now just not to use this feature on the old file. It works on any new one I create and I was also advised that attachments just slow the system down. Thank you again.

On a new database it all works. On my old database,
How old is your old database? What version of access?
Attachment fields were added in 2007 I believe.
