    Relationship

Hello everyone, I'm a newbie to Access. I imported a huge xml file into Access and I ended up with 7 Tables with lots of fields. So I started to build a relationship with these tables and I notice that there were no primary keys in any of the 7 tables, and 3 of the tables don't have any fields that are similar to the others. Could someone guide me on how to create a relationship with these tables. Thank you

if you key the table and if fails due to duplicates, you can create a new keyed table, then append all records from the 1 to the new.

Only need to create relationship if it's a true master/child. yes, tClients join to tClientPayments,

Lookups dont really need it. i.e: a t.Client table that has client address, city ,State. The tStates table does not need a relation to the tClient.State field.

    MS Access Relationships

Hi, am back. so after I import the XML file into Access. I then try to do a Relationships and I notice that there were NO PRIMARY keys in any of these Tables. and also there are 5 Tables(Dam, Sire, Stat, Trainer and Workoutdata) with Fields that don't seem to make any sort of connection with any other Fields.
    thank you for reading post.

There are 4 tables with similar fields that relate to each other: In the(horsedata table these 3 fields....claimprice, med and equip. are similar to fields in the ppdata table) In the(racedata table there are 4 fields (distance, course_id, surface and country.) that are similar to fields in ppdata table. and in the jockey table, there's only 1 field (jockey_disp) that is similar to a field in the ppdata table. so there is a relationship with these 4 tables: horsedata, racedata, ppdata and jockey. so my Question is, how do I get all 9 of these tables to relate to each other?
