Run time error 3014: 'Can't open any more tables' - please help!

    Hello,

I'm running Access 3065 under Windows 10. Until recently, I had several Access applications on my C: drive, which were working fine. Because I was running short of space on C: I decided to transfer these applications across to my D: drive. On opening a form in one of them, I encountered the above run time error 'Can't open any more tables'. This is now occurring with a number of these applications that I've tried. It can't possibly mean what it says, as I would only be trying to open about two or three tables in this scenario.

I've even tried running the application direct from a backup copy on a memory stick, and I'm getting the same problem. I'm getting rather desperate as these are important applications for me. Can you please suggest a solution?

Probably related to this recent bug. See this video for more info.

From other forums/sources it seems M$oft is acutely aware of the problem, and given the impact, I would suspect it went right to the top of the list.

Thanks orange. Bearing your post in mind, I think the fact that I've transferred these applications from C: to D: is probably coincidental - in fact I'm pretty sure now that I think about it that I tried the main application immediately after transferring and it was working OK once I'd clicked on the 'Enable content' button. So I hope you're right that my problem is due to this known bug that has arisen and that Microsoft will be coming up with a fix quickly. It would be great if you could post again if and when they do issue a fix.

    Thanks again.
