How to return quarter and year for field?

Hello - I have the expression below that I almost have working. It should return 4Qtr2021 for December 2021 but it returns 5Qtr2021. The expression only does that for December, all other months come up correctly.

(((Month(([Date])-1\3)+1) & "Qtr" & Year([Date]))

Any ideas of what I missed?

think your brackets are in the wrong place, try

(Month([Date])-1)\3+1 & "Qtr" & Year([Date])

note Date is a bad name for a field - it is a reserved word (it is a function that returns todays date). Change to something more meaningful like invDate, startDate, whatever

You can get quarter from DatePart("q",YourDate)

Date is a reserved word and advise not to use reserved words as names.

That did it - yes the field is named differently, just typed Date without thinking.
