Lightbulb Drop down presents sorted values

    Hi,
I have an access from where I follow my personal expenses

    I have 2 tables:
    Main subject
    Secondary subject
I would like the secondary values to show up only for the related main subject that was chosen in the main combo
    Example:
If I choose car expenses only: gas, insurance parking will pop up and not the entire list of the secondary table
    Thanks in advance

A common question. Search for Cascading Combos.
You just need to set some criteria in the query used for the second combo.
Post a copy of the db if you can't sort it out yourself.
If this helped, please click the star at the bottom left of this posting and add to my reputation . Many thanks.

That is only going to work if you have your data correctly set up, with a field to identify what category the expenses are?
