See if it's only one form. If many, see if it's any other db that does not contain a copy of the same problem form(s). That will tell you if it's an Access issue or a db related issue. It may be that the problem form(s) is/are corrupt. Before doing anything such as compact/repair or decompile, make a backup db copy then try those things. You might have to start a new db and import everything into it. If the problem remains and it's only one form, you could import all again into another new db but leave out that form and see what you get. In this copy you're playing with, try removing 1 or 2 controls at a time to see if that fixes it. You might want to close and reopen db after doing so before drawing any conclusions about that.
