    Number will be given depending on status is selected

    Dear All,
    I would like When the invoice status is selected approve, an invoice number is given.
    Now an invoice number is given with all entered words, do you know how this can be solved

    why not just use AUTONUMBER?
    you don't have to do anything since its created when the record is made.
