    Post Times

The date and time of a post are shown at the top of each post but is that the time wherever the poster is or is that the time at some other constant place? Just curious

I *think* where they are, as I have seen some in the future, but not sure if that was actually on this site.

Just wondered because I contributed to a thread earlier today where the OP's original post was timed as 04:47 AM which seemed a bit early in the day to be starting a thread, so thought that perhaps it was that time HERE, where I am, and not necessarily where the OP is

    Ask @Hayley when she posted?

Great idea. Lets hope she doesn't tell me to look at the time on the post

It's the local time to you. I think you can tell the forum what time zone you are in somewhere in the settings.

So I would guess on Haley's screen it will look like you replied at some equally ungodly hour

    Edit: From the settings page:
All timestamps displayed on the forums can be automatically corrected to show the correct time for your location in the world. Simply select the appropriate time zone from the list below.

    Thanks Minty.

Following Welshgasman's suggestion I've asked Haley.
Who knows, could be that she lives in the house next to mine and likes an early start to the day
