    Hello ,
I have a problem of scaning barcode that was created from access application.
The scaner can not read barcodes that contain slash ( / OR \ )
I have font code39 in the barcode report.
Can anyone help me to solve this problem.
It is very urgent for me.
    Thanks from advance,

Why does Access app create barcodes with those characters?

Unless scanner can be programmed to accept characters, really don't see a fix, other than to replace the labels.

    Bar Code 39 printing
    by Richard Rost

The Code 39 specification defines 43 characters, consisting of uppercase letters (A through Z), numeric digits (0 through 9) and a number of special characters (-, ., $, /, +, %, and space). An additional character (denoted '*') is used for both start and stop delimiters.

Update: Yes - as June7 suggested --backslash does not appear in accepted character list.

So the issue may be with backslash character.

You need the "Code 39 Full ASCII" symbology. Go here, go to Linear Codes -> Code 39 Full ASCII. Type test data with backslashes in the box, click Refresh, and it will show the barcode with the backslashes. Scan the barcode on the monitor with your scanner. If it doesn't work, it's your scanner. This is why it's better to use a dedicated barcode software that has all the symbologies, and there are tons of them. UPCs need the UPC-A symbology. Barcodes on shipping labels need the Code 128 symbology.
