    rounding access 2010

I have all calculated fields in a query and have them set to standard, decimal places 2. When I run query it shows the value out two places, i.e., 142.00, however, when I put my cursor in the cell it displays 142.00368. How do I fix this? My total query is using the 142.00368 value.

Try using the Round() function in your calculation.

So, I guess my question is do you have to use rounding function in addition to formatting to desired decimal places?

Formatting affects how a value is displayed, it does not affect what the value actually is. The Round() function is definitely needed, the format may fall into place when the function is applied.
