Linked Table shows fields Deleted unless TOTALS is turned on

Hi! So I have searched extensively online and can't find anyone else who has encountered this... I am using Access 2016 and have linked a lot of tables to another software program. The majority of the tables if opened show #Deleted in all the fields. However there are two tables that don't, the information shows up just fine. I can't find any difference between field types or anything that would make these two tables stand out. The really strange thing is that if I run a Select query on the tables that show #Deleted, if I turn Totals on then the information displays just fine.

The problem is I can't run any kind of update queries on the tables because it acts like the information isn't there.

Any idea what in the world could be causing this or a possible workaround? I've tried using VBA with no luck.

    Thanks for your time!

What is the program that the tables are linked to?

It's a Gage Calibration software we use for the core of our business called Indysoft. It's basically just a database itself, storing all of the information about the gages and calibrations in tables. I'm accessing it through a ODBC Firebird connection.

Have you set the unique identifiers for each table when you linked them? If you open them in design view (ignore the warning) you should see the primary key symbol in each table.
    Maybe this would help:
