I just wanted to write a post because I need, some guidelines on how to setup this database and general related questions on possibilities of the access software.
so, I want to build a database for my church that is able to track membership, tithing, attendance numbers, and a series of other information that is pertinent to the life of the church. The first question is "is it possible to have in a "membership" table the sum of their tithes?". The second question is "can Microsoft access work in a format that is able to be accessed by something that isn't Microsoft access (such as open office, or independent forum access)" and lastly, how would I create a (or a series of forms) to easily record this information.
I suppose that a lot of these questions are basic database creation and management, but I'm still a N00b with access and want to figure this stuff out.
