    db Performance Over Network

Our db is not large enough to be turned over to the IT group for server usage. It is currently located on a shared drive. Remote users have a great deal of trouble working with it over the network. Splitting did not seem to provide the performance gains I anticipated? Did I miss something in setting up the Split? (Just used the Wizard) or is there another suggestion for improving performance?

    to improve performance, you can
1 upgrade the server where shared driver locates
    2 upgrade the user computers
    3 upgrade the network
4 improve the design of the database
    5 improve the codes

check which one that you can do.
