Selected row from table to query transfer

    Hi all,
I am trying to transfer a selected row from a table to the next empty row of a query in MS ACCESS.
I wanted to know if this is possible and if so how to go about it.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thank you

PS - I am new to this forum and MS Access so please do let me know if I have made any mistakes in my new thread.

don't understand what you are trying to do - why to a query?

Provide some example data and the outcome required from that example data together with a simple description of what you are trying to do so we can get a context. i.e. What is the data about?

I'm also unclear what you mean.
Will this be the only record in your query. If so, just create a query to filter your table for that record.
If the query has existing data and you want to add one record, use a union query combining the data

Sorry for being unclear, hope this helps

I had a form which when you input information, it assigns an ID number(by increment) and then when you submit it, it goes to a table which is under the query section in MS Access.
I have made some changes now and a new table now gets updated through a link(from an excel sheet), so the table content to transfer to the previous table which was filled by form is what i am looking for.

me no get either - a puzzler: "it goes to a table which is under the query section in MS Access."

Maybe it's worth pointing out that queries are based on tables. If your query is updateable and you add a record to it, it will go into the table if allowed. Not sure if that's what you're trying to do. May be simpler to just update the table directly? Or maybe you now have a new table and want to get data from it into some other table. In that case, run an append query that appends to the new table by using data from the old one.
