Hi all,
Just a quick (and probably very dumb) question. I am splitting a db and I would like to find the servers UNC path as I have read that it is much better than mapped drive letters.
Thanks
Jordan T

use google: http://www.google.com/#hl=en&expIds=...32b8af52b7e0b8
for help on getting the most out of your results, see this: http://www.access-programmers.co.uk/...ghlight=google
Google indexes search results based on the frequency that actual phrases and word combinations are typed into the search box. (I'm 99% sure about this). So, for this kind of search, the phrase "vba get unc path" will give you much better results than "return the unc path of a network drive using vba" simply because more people have typed the first phrase than the second.
I don't particularly care for google instant because the dropdown box gets in the way of seeing the results, but one great thing about it now is the fact that they've added a sort of "intellisense" with shadowed words after what you've already typed in to indicate the most frequently searched phrases.
Thanks for the reply but I solved it myself. A very simple way is just type net use in command console. This gives you the UNC path.
