I've created a relational (almost) database for the prior collection of non-relational (excel files in db file format, really).
I have an "Active" query to reflect who is reported to my training command with (report date > date() and course convene < date() type complexity.
Now, I would like that query to include a "Status" field. I need to create a leave table with leave purpose, begin and end dates for vacation days away from work, as well as a new Restriction of Movement (ROM) for periods when new students arrive in a 14 day COVID19 quarantine prior to starting a training course.
What you you recommend? I suppose I need the two tables for both absence reasons and then perhaps I can simply create a case statement in the Active query? Am I "nuking it"?
Please help.
