    Simple SETVALUE function

For some reason i get a "Object or class does not support the set of events" error when my macro is triggered with the on click function.

the problem line seems to be :

    setvalue
    Item: [Forms]![frmLogin]![Text3]
    expression: "bob"

for YEARS this has been working correctly without issue i don't understand what the issue is currently.
I've recreated the simple macro and get the same result.

Is there a recent update that windows may have installed that is now causing the problem perhaps?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    thanks,
    Steve

it could fail if the textbox is read only
or how the textbox is bound.

you could put a button on the form and set it in vb: me.text3 = "bob"
    it may help.

I don't use Macros, but try:

    1) Check for missing references in the IDE.
    2) Do a Compact and Repair
    3) Do a Decompile
    4) Try importing all objects into a new dB.
