    How many controls are on the MainForm that might be changed?

    There are over 30 controls on the main that could be changed. That is why I really wanted to have the audit trail so as to quickly identify any changes. The response subform has fewer...like 11

    Darn...the code looks like it should work to me. I'm not real crazy about the structure of the code but it looks like it should work. I'm going to send you a PM.

    Well, thanks to Rural Guy for figuring out my problem.
    You have an Invisible control on the SubForm bound to the Updates field of the RecordSource. That makes MyForm!Updates in the AuditTrail() function find the field. No such Invisible control exists on the MainForm. Add one and then try it.
    I did add the control to the Main form and it works like intended.

    SubForm Audit Fun

    I am running into the same issues but have not yet been able to resolve it. My main form isn't bound to a control source. Even though I added an invisible control named "Updates", the Audit function does not work when I update a record in a subform. Any help would be much appreciated.
