    Bill of Material Help

Hello, I am fairly new to Access and I am trying to accomplish something I thought would be easy but there is so much info on here I'm not sure where to start.
I am creating some standard assemblies and each assembly will have a BOM (Created in AutoCAD). Currently I can pull a report listing all the items required per assembly but it lists them all in 1 row per assembly. I attached the output excel file (see tab "Summary"). If you look at the Sheet 1 tab, that is how the info should be.
The end game for this report is for someone to be able to select several assemblies, note the qty of each that they need and then create a report showing the total items they need to create all the assemblies. I am open to other options and suggestions. Also I don't mind research just need a little (or alot) of direction .

Thanks Mick for the quick reply! You are correct about electrical installation parts. From the photo that looks like something I might be able to use, I downloaded the manager lite and it seems to only work on 32-bit. We have 64-bit is there a workaround?

I will look at it but you can install the 32 bit of access for now.

I must have missed an API update somewhere as I only have a 32 bit version

Unfortunately installing software at my current employer is a long drawn out process. So that is not really an option for me.

Here BOM.zip you can see an example of how you could handle it.
Sorry for any translation errors from google as I am Italian and do not know English well.

    Hi everybody
I need a sample access program for BOM.
    The program is multi-level.
Show the main product along with the sub-assembly and the constituent parts of the sub-assembly.
Can someone help me and provide me with a sample program where the code can be edited?
    Thanks to all
