check box on report odd phenomenon

Odd: I have 10 check boxes on a report. These all come from a table (life) and they appear on the report correctly as check boxes.

I also have 10 check boxes from a another table (work). only one appears as a check box and the other 9 appear as input fields.

Comparing the 2 tables in design view, the fields are all the same "data type: yes/no; format: yes/no; look up: check box".

So, why do some of the check boxes from the table "work" not appear correctly as check boxes on the form?

    any ideas?

in design view; right click on those controls and look at the 'change' option; you may find an answer here.

if all else fails - delete one of those and re-add it and see if its display differs.

    odd phenomenon

I just tried - thanks I did not even know about that particluar item on the menu.
However the "change to" sub menu does not give me the option of selecting "check box" or "toggle"...these are grey, unclickable. I could change it to label, list box, or combo box. (All are useless to me)

If I click one of the check boxes that went onto the form correctly it offers me the choices of changing it to toggle or option butt
    on.

    Still can't figure it out.
