We have an SQL database software uses Access database as template for reports

Our company uses a relatively old MRP that is run on a SQL database. However all of its pre-canned (Crystal Reports) reports are designed with an Access "template database" and draws from the fields and tables in that template database. Essentially, my goal is to figure out which of our actual database fields/tables populate the "template database" fields. I don't really know how to go about this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

from your very brief description of your setup - it sounds like either data is copied from your sql server? to the access 'template' or the access template is linked to sql server. So I would start there - determine how the access template gets its data
