Crosstab User Input

I am unsure how to implement User Input into a crosstab query. I built the query exactly the way I want it. The problem is I want the user to be able to say which year to query. I would do a normal select query but I have a dropdown list that I want in 3 different columns instead of listed one by one in the same column. Can anyone help.
