    new compile error!

    This is the error I get: can't find project or library

    In design view, the error points to this:

    CurrYr = Format(Now(), "yyyy")

    Does anybody know what might be causing this? Thanks

    Have you checked your references to see if you have any bogus MISSING references?

    Thanks, Yes, I did check which is why it's so puzzling. I don't see anything missing, but I wouldn't know what a bogus reference would be either.

    Take note of a checked reference and then uncheck it. ok out of the dialog and then go back in and check it again. That refreshes the references. Bogus MISSING reference is a reference that shows as MISSING but is not really needed anyway.

    Uh-oh, I did that and now it's really messed up. It won't even open the database, it just goes straight to compile error and debug. The latest compile error is "missing recordset".

    OPen it while holding down a <SHIFT> key. You've got a form loading on startup don't you?

    I'm out of the office tomorrow so I'll check it out tuesday. The form was opening before. I click once to highlight, then hold shift and double click to open. No problem, I appreciate the help.
