This appears to be restricted to only one person
I tried deleting all the records of him and reentering it changed how many were hidden but not all
It also looks like you have controls on the main form that are supposed to filter the dataset in the subform. Am I correct in that assumption?
Yes It does a search for the members name to display his records.
If I am then we need to know how you re trying to filter the data in the subform. What is the Recordsource of the subform?
The Recordsource is a table called training log which I screenshot and is shown on the left.
Is the main form unbound?
I believe it is bound to the to the member table from which it grabs the member name and applies that as a search criteria in the sub form.
Is there any code behind those controls to filter the subform, if so, please show us the code.
I have done no coding
Can you attach the db here?
no i cannot
Which person doesn't pull up all the appropriate records?
His Name is Fung
Your problem is that the names differ between tables. The ID should be stored in the training log table, not the name (that's basically always the case). The ID should also be the linking field, not name. Here's your problem:
FUNG, CHRIS (fire fighter table)
FUNG,CHRIS (training log table)
Since the names are different (the space), they won't show up when you try to connect via name.
Nope that didnt work
??Nope that didnt work??
Can you expand on this? Error? ??
