How to highlight all text when tabbing to a field

    Hi

Hopefully my cursor prob has a simple fix. I am just a user really, can design forms but know very little vba which a friend helps me with. For many years I have been happily using the arrow keys to move up and down between records shown in a subform in datasheet mode, and as I move up or down the cursor would automatically highlight the entire text in that field, allowing me to overtype the text. For some unknown reason the cursor suddenly decided that now only goes to the start of the text when I go to that field. Toggling the 'Insert' key on the keyboard merely makes the cursor only either highlight just a single character, or go between characters. Can't find anything on the net about how to reset the cursor to the way it was. Any help would be much appreciated. I am using a Lenovo Yoga laptop. Cheers, Allen

Look at Access Options settings: File > Options > Client Settings > Editing
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

..though I have no idea how Access managed to change that setting on me without my say-so!
