I'm trying to Sort by Date on an Access form and I receive the error:
'The object doesn't contain the Automation object 'Category'.

Checks the component's documentation for information on the properties and methods it makes available for Automation operations.I'm trying to sort on a form which happens to be a Continuous Form on a main form.Also, the default sort order is to Sort by Descending date on opening the form.I tried to remove the default sort order. I also tried to sort it in a query or datasheet view and it worked fine.The code for this is:DoCmd.GoToControl "ActionDate"DoCmd.RunCommand acCmdFilterMenuIt should sort the ActionDate without any messages.
