    append query


    Hi
    I have 3 tables, main, update, and additions. The update table updates the main table while the additions table are new entries that I want to add to the main table. When I create the append query using the additions table, it opens a window and ask me with table to add the entries. Only 2 tables are listed, update and additions. The main table is not listed. Why?

    While I do not understand why you are doing what you describe in terms of putting data in one table and then moving it to another which is not a normal database design; it doesn't change the fact that when one is setting up an AppendQuery that you should indeed see all the other tables during set up with the wizard.

    So I would do a compact/repair, reboot, and retry.

    It works after reboot.
