Rugby Team Management and Statistics

I manage my Sons rugby team U7's and wanting to build a Database to record games they played, then who won what award, a tick box to record when they have paid subs, payment of lunch money, training attendance. I know it sounds lots but just unsure how to start. i think my first job would be to build a table of players?

First job is to identify data entities and relationships. Make an ERD (entity relationship diagram). Then build tables that fit the diagram.
