    Layouts and shifting

    Hi all,

I did up my form using a stacked layout because I wanted the combo boxes to snap to a consistent size, which works fine.

However, there are certain items in my form which I want to shift and resize freely to certain areas of the form. I understand from online sources that a solution is to Remove Layout from the item. I tried that and it shifted the item to the end of the form where there is no layout. It can be moved and resized freely there.

However, I could not move the item over the stacked layout area. Am I missing something or is it impossible to do so?

    Thank you!

it's not possible, you cannot mix layout applied and not applied in the same area. I don't use layouts so don't know I it is possible, but you could try splitting your layout area so you have a gap where you can move the 'non layout' controls
