    Continuous Form Header size locked

There is probably an easy solution but I am not finding anything.

    Problem

A continuous form's header has a large amount of empty space. I want to reduce the Height, however it won't change

    Attempted Solutions
    • In design view tried selecting the border and dragging up
    • Under FormHeader tried manually entering a height
    • Tried changing Can Grow and Can Shrink to yes and performing the two actions above
    • Changed Auto Height to Yes and went to form vierw header height was not changed

Any suggestions would be much appreciated, thank you

Odd figured out a work around. For continous forms the detail fields are stuck into this weird cell structure. I can't drag the elements out of it but I can copy and paste them and then delete the cell structure to uncouple the Detail from the Form Header. Is there a more elegant solution or generally is it just a bear to work with?

Easiest way is to select all controls (ctrl A) and in the ribbon under the arrange tab, select Remove Layout.

Note that can grow/shrink properties are only applied if the form is printed
