Access 2000 DB being accessed thru Access 07

I have a report that was created before my time.. It is a quarter report that the end user accesses on a quarterly basis. When they access it now, it is duplicating records. They have one order being displayed multiple times. Anyway to fix this?
    For example:
    Order # Product Amt

    123 XYZ $

over and over even though it it one unique record?!

ac2007 has no difficulty reading an ac2000 db. It sounds like your issue might be with the query recordsource of the report.

Thanks! Yes I am aware of that however the main DB is stored on a Win2K server. I have these win7 machines that run Access 07 mapped properly but I can not access it..
The resolution that you mentioned, how can I check that? Thank you!!

I'm not sure what you mean by the highlighted portions of you statement. Are you trying to run the report from the Win7 machine(s) and can you open the report in design mode from one of these machines? I use both Win7 and ac07.

Correct. I have 2 win7 pcs that cannot open the db from the server (win server 2k). I have verified rights and have mapped the pcs to the db. Am I missing a security feature?

You say "mapped" the PC's to the db. Have you used the Linked Table Manager to do this?

In ac2007 with the Database open in design mode:
Database Tools>Linked Table Manager on the right side of that menu.

You can *not* access the BackEnd? Do you have Access 2007 on your machine and do you have a copy of the FrontEnd on your machine?

It's crazy, on the machines, both have access 07 with win7. On the server, it's has access 2k running windows 2k.
Both machines are not mapped to the server, it errors out that the network path does not have access. Crazy both pcs are mapped down to the shared folder. I can access the db on the server from the server, I want the pcs to access that db too.

It sounds like a network configuration issue to me.

Thanks! I thought maybe it was a security thing. I have another issue with a report that shows duplicate records. Can you help?

Is the report based on a query? Can you run that query directly and get the same results?
