Splitting DB With Linked Tables - Subscript Out of Range

    Hi there.

I have a database with roughly 25 local tables, six linked tables, zero queries, 18 forms, and zero reports. There are plenty of relationships established between the local and linked tables.

When I go to split the database, I get the "subscript out of range" error message. After some digging, it seems that error comes up when you are splitting a database with linked tables. I need to know how to work around or otherwise fix that issue.

If I convert the linked tables to local, the database splits fine, but when I add the linked tables, all of my relationships are against the local tables which is not desired since I want to delete the local tables and only use the linked ones.

The only thing I could think of is that maybe there was a tool to convert a local table to a linked table, but that doesn't appear to be an option.

I'm aware that I can manually split the database, but I am really trying to avoid that. Is there anything I can do?

    Cheers,
    jj

Just do it manually, relinking 6 linked tables will take all of about 5 minutes, and that includes making yourself a coffee.

If you need to recreate the relationships, you can export them and then re-import them using the code provided here https://stackoverflow.com/questions/...s-in-ms-access

After the split,You can copy the preLinked (before the split) tables then paste them into the FE.
