Updating dbVersions for progammically generated Access databases.

I use a Visual Basic program to generate my databases. Being a bit of a Luddite, I'm still on Office 2007. However, the last value of dbVersion I have is 30, which nets me a 2003 version that I update on first use to 2007. I'm about to install Office 2016 + and I thought it would be a nifty idea if I could generate moderately current Access databases. Can more modern versions of the Access databases be programmically generated? And are the appropriate attributes available anywhere?

You don't have to generate new versions, they are all backward compatible.

Ahhh... But they may not be forward compatible. And I'd like to actually generate the DBs for the level of software I'm using... Might have useful new capabilities... As it stands I don't have the dbVersion attribute value to generate newer Dbs, if it's even possible...

Use dbVersion120 or higher - here is a link that might help you: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/lib.../ff821447.aspx

    Cheers,

    The right stuff!

Thanks Vlad! I'll install Office 2016 now and create my next Schema using dbVersion120. I think I tried dbVersion40 years ago as a guess, but it didn't work!
