I'm trying to convert the e-mails in each record in the results to a single string of e-mails separated by a comma.

    You mean email addresses?

If you want to combine data from multiple related records, review http://allenbrowne.com/func-concat.html

If you just want to combine fields of single record, simply: field1 & "," & field2
